Athanasia Benekou

Athanasia (“Atha”) Benekou is a Principal Medical Writer in the PPD clinical research business of Thermo Fisher Scientific. She has over 20 years of medical writing experience, including 12 years as a freelancer, 7 years as a pharmaceutical company employee, and 5 years in the CRO environment. Athanasia has led and contributed to the writing of a variety of scientific documents, including manuscripts and regulatory documents. In parallel, since 2002, she has set up and led a variety of trainings and workshops on medical writing topics such as Good Publication Practice guidelines, evidence-based medicine, publication ethics, and critical appraisal of research papers.
