Communicating with the Public SIG
Educates and informs EMWA members about communicating with the public, advancing related interactions with Regulatory Agencies and other organisations, and establishing interactions with patient advocacy groups and specialists.
Entrepreneurship SIG
Discusses and shares information and supports EMWA members looking to expand their business. The aim is to create a network of members who have taken the next step from working solo to running a company, providing access to business advice and shared learnings.
Medical Communications SIG
Discusses and shares information and best practice in the area of medical communications devices and in vitro devices, including scientific disclosure and publications, and provides resources and links to current information.
Medical Devices SIG
Discusses and shares information and best practice in the area of medical devices and in vitro devices. The group focuses on this rapidly evolving area and provides support on the implementation of the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR 2017/45) and In Vitro Device Regulation (IVDR 2017/746).
Pharmacovigilance SIG
Discusses and shares information and best practice in the area of pharmacovigilance (PV) and PV writing. The group aims to increase dialogue within and between the medical writing community and Regulatory Authorities, and provides resources and keeps abreast of current guidance.
Regulatory Writing SIG
Discusses and provides information on regulatory writing, and provides a forum for EMWA members to share experiences and best practices, share information, ask questions, and facilitate networking.
Sustainability SIG
Discusses and shares information to attain EMWA’s sustainability goals and helps disseminate information for medical writers on how to be more sustainable, and raises awareness of industry standards on sustainability goals.
Veterinary Writing SIG
Discusses and shares information in the area of veterinary medical writing, presents and illuminates this broad and diverse medical writing area, and encourages networking with EMWA members and veterinarians.
Visual Communications SIG
Creates graphics and visuals for EMWA-related activities, including figures and infographics, cover art for the EMWA journal, logos, and certificates.
