Tamara Aepli is a Swiss designer and scientific illustrator. She first studied Visual Communication with a specialization in Scientific Visualization at the Zurich University of the Arts, followed by a master’s degree in design at Bern University of the Arts, with a focus on design ethics and the impact of visual narratives on knowledge construction.
With over 15 years of experience, she has worked as a scientific illustrator, including a role in medical illustration at the medically-guided education and research organization AO Foundation, where she produced teaching material content for surgical training. Today, she runs her own practice, collaborating with healthcare institutions, universities and creative studios on projects ranging from illustration to knowledge visualization and instructional design.
