Ana Goios

Based in Portugal, Ana Goios works remotely as the Head of Medical Writing for P95 Clinical and Epidemiology Services. Ana leads a team of 17 highly skilled medical writers and helps improve medical writing processes and business development at P95. As a Medical Writer, she prepares reports, manuscripts, posters, and slide decks, often with a strong visualisation component. Ana holds a PhD in Genetics and has worked in academic research in Genetics and in Population Health for more than 15 years. In parallel, she completed two Scientific Illustration courses, a postgraduate course in Biostatistics in Health Sciences, and engaged in self-training in data visualisation and design. Her multidisciplinary background allows her to produce comprehensive medical communication documents using data analysis tools and to create graphics, illustrations, and text. Ana has been an EMWA member since 2018 and has since then attended EMWA Professional Development Program Workshops and obtained the EPDP Foundation Certificate. She has been a workshop leader since 2021.
