In an increasingly digital world, social media has become a powerful platform for medical writers to share knowledge, engage audiences, and build professional visibility. This session will explore the evolving role of the medical writer on social media, from content planning to self-promotion, underpinned by ethics.

Key Focus: Medical writers can play an important role on social media, ensuring correct medical information is communicated to diverse audiences. This seminar focuses on how medical writers can:

• Contribute to credible, engaging scientific dialogue online.
• Explore innovative ways to present scientific content beyond traditional writing.
• Balance visibility and professionalism while maintaining compliance with regulatory frameworks.
• Understand the risks, governance frameworks, and opportunities shaping professional and pharma engagement on social media.

Louisa has a special interest in using graphics to present data and communicate core messages and has published articles on the subject. She has been an active member of the EMWA graphics team for years.
