PTF21 Health-related quality of life

The workshop will give an overview of the different types of health-related quality of life instruments (HRQoL) instruments and the main issues to be considered when using these measures in clinical studies. Participants will gain an understanding of how to appraise HRQoL measures and report their use in studies. We will also explore various approaches for generating the HRQoL data that are used in cost-utility analysis.

Participant profile: This workshop is aimed at medical writers who deal with HRQoL or patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) in clinical studies or document writing. No prior experience with HRQoL instruments is needed.
