This session explores the evolving crossover of digital twin technology from human healthcare into veterinary medicine and research. Presenters will explain how digital models are being utilized for clinical training, surgical workflows, and orthopaedic simulations. Crucially, the session will address the ethical implications of this technology for biomedical research, and consider how virtual animal models can contribute to the reduction and refinement of traditional animal testing. Presenters will share details on practical implementations in diverse fields, and highlight wider implications for a range of stakeholders.
