Hundreds of guidelines and checklists are available to disclose the results of observational, health outcome, quality of life, mixed-method, and many other types of studies. To complement all of these, Good Publication Practices (GPP) have been developed. Most journals have their own instructions for authors, but almost all of them require authors to follow the publication guidelines. ICH instructions are sometimes vague or unclear, too. In this workshop, we will review the main guidelines to identify when and how they can be used by medical writers to improve the productivity and quality of their work in the era of artificial intelligence.
Andrea Rossi has a degree in biology from Florence University. After a brief spell at the University, he started working in the Italian Affiliate of Eli Lilly as a clinical research associate. In the years that followed, he was responsible for statistics, health outcomes, and medical information.
Andrea has been working as a medical writer since 2003. He authored more than 350 disclosures and is acknowledged for his contribution to several others. He has been an EMWA member since 2004 and was on the coordination board of BIAS (Biometristi Italiani Associati) in the period 2007–2009. Andrea has been a trainer for statistics and medical writing in some Italian schools for specialization in medicine and has been a speaker at national and international conferences.
He is an EMWA Ambassador, leads EMWA’s Salary Survey team, and is a workshop leader and past president of EMWA.

Registration fee first
The conference registration fee (€50) must be in your basket before any session can be added. It is one off and covers the opening session and the plenary.
Terms and conditions
Changes to registration
Changes may be made to workshop or seminar choices after booking (that is, a cancellation of one workshop or seminar choice and replacement by another), for an administrative fee of €27, plus any difference in price between the choice of workshops or seminars. Workshops, seminars and lunchtime sponsored sessions may be added to your original registration (subject to availability) at any time, without an administrative fee by contacting info@emwa.org. All changes are subject to availability.
Cancellation of attendance
If you wish to cancel your attendance at the conference, a refund, minus an administration fee of €162, will be made provided your cancellation is made in writing to EMWA head office before 20 October 2026. No refunds will be made after this date.
Payments
Invoices must be settled by bank transfer in Euro, or paid by card through Stripe. All fees are payable in advance. Full payment is due by 30 October 2026. If payment has not been received, EMWA reserves the right to request payment and cancel registration.
