Who it is for

Open to EMWA members registered for the EMWA Autumn Conference 2026.

What it covers

Medical writers work long hours in front of screens, often under deadlines and other pressures.
This free 90-minute online session looks at what that does to the body and the mind, and at what helps. The format is participatory by design, the session leader will provide succinct information and polling, group exchanges, and/OR open Q&A will follow. Come with questions, whether you already know about the topic, are curious, or have been meaning to change something for years.
We'll cover four things: how our work affects us, what is known to help, how to self-assess habits and pick what to start with, and how to implement behavioural changes.
The session is informational only. Nothing in it is medical advice. What you take away and act on is your decision, and your own medical providers remain the people to consult about your health.
